Possible Lighting Issues
Inside the House
One issue I noticed is that the lighting in the room is quite yellow and so I'll have to colour correct in post if this turns out to be a major issue
Another Issue could be due to the transition between kitchen and living room because the light in the kitchen is much harsher and whiter than the living room light and so again I'll either have to fix it in post to make them more similar or change the settings on the camera to limit this change.
Outside the House
The main issue here is the time of filming and the lighting conditions that this forces on me. The filming is going to take place at night and so there might not be enough light and so you could not see the actors properly
Another Issue could be that the light outside the building has a timer on it and it is motion activated meaning that it might cut out midscene hopefully it stays on long enough that this won't be an issue

Final Audience Summary
After performing some research into the audience that my film would focus on I have decided that this film is primarily aimed at those in the 18-25 age range with some scope for those slightly older pushing into the early thirties.
A person who would be interested in my film was already be interested in film enough to follow several film festival awards such as the Oscars or the BAFTA's as this is how they would hear about a film such as mine. Those interested in such films are often of this slightly younger age and this would mean that they would be especially interested in my film as the subject matter would either be something they have directly experienced or the film would bring them a certain degree of nostalgia

Audience Research - Short Film Format
When Considering the audience for my film I first looked at the short film format and the audience that its specifically attracts.
The short film is not often produced to make a financial gain. Instead they are designed as more artistic pieces and are submitted to various film awards to allow certain filmmakers to gain notoriety.
Below is an example of the awards short films can win. All the awards below were awarded to the short film Curfew
As you can see there is a massive variety of film festivals around the world ranging from area specific competitions such as the also due
The film below has won several awards and this is how it would have gained its popularity rather than through traditional means such as online advertising campaigns
Because of these unusual pathways often the films focus on more niche subject matter as they do not need to turn a profit and this can be seen in the personal nature of my film as it focuses on issues that I have struggled with in the past but that the majority of a population might not be interested in. It is this unique appeal that initially drew me to choose to create a short film rather than a trailer as part of my coursework

Audience Research - Impact of Subject Matter
Another area that would impact the audience is the subject matter of the film that I plan to make. This film is centred around young adults/older teenagers lives. This focus would mean that this film would supposedly be of interest to other young adults who can relate to the subject matter but also to those of an older age as it might be nostalgic for them.
I performed a small amount of audience research amongst my year group to see how much interest there would be amongst the 18 - 25 age group. I asked a group of twenty friends after telling them the summary of my film if they would be interested in seeing this film you can the results below
As you can see the vast majority of those who were asked would be interested in this film indicating that my prediction of the audience was to a certain degree correct.
However I did some further research with a different age group to further confirm my theory on the age group that would be most interested in my film. I did this by asking a smaller groupf of ten adults who were aged 41- 54 if they would be interested in the film I was proposing these were the results
In contrast to the eariler group the opinion was much for split with only 4 out of 10 people indicating that they would be interested in the film I was proposing this further increased my confidence that I was attempting to focus on the right age range for the film

Location Plans
The Location for the film is fairly simple as the narrative of the film takes place over just one night during a party. Because of this a single house is all that is need in terms of locations. This location can be divided into several smaller locations where the action of the narrative occurs at that particular point in the narrative
Inside of the House
A fridge which Sam opens at the beginning of the film and looks into and takes out a drink of
A Kitchen which Sam then walks through in the opening tracking shot to establish the environment of the party
Living Room: This is where the majority of the action takes place as Danny and Sam have their argument around this area.
Outside the House: Where Danny and Sam have their final confrontation after Danny storms out
I don't have any photos for this area because I didn't plan and was in a hurry although it is simply front garden with an automatic light
NOTES
This location looks like it is going to be a good place to film. I particularly like the way in which you can arrange the sofas in such a way as to create a circle which will add nicely into the theme of the character of Danny feeling trapped
The fridge adds the ability to create a nice opening shot with the actor playing Sam opening the fridge and looking into the camera to start the film
The open plan nature of the downstairs area means that I can successfully achieve the long following shot that I want to use in the opening of the film without much difficulty.
The outside area may be too small however and so this could become and issue in future shooting session

INSIDE HOUSE - WHERE'S DANNY
Snap Cut to fridge door opening seen from inside fridge. SAM drops into frame and reaches into the fridge and retrieves two drinks. She comes out of the fridge (Music Starts) and talks with a friend who she gives the drink to. Eventually this conversation comes to an end and she asks the friend...
SAM: Have you seen Danny anywhere?
FRIEND: No not for a while...
SAM: Unbelievable... It's his eighteenth birthday and he isn't trying to enjoy himself. I'm going to go find him OK?
Non-committal Shrug from friend allows SAM to leave conversation. She walks through the door of the kitchen into the living. The camera follows behind her as she makes her way through the party. Snippets of dialogue between SAM and the other party goers can be overheard. Music plays throughout and there is a underlying diegetic soundtrack of people talking for example...
SAM: Hey you alright
SAM: You seen Danny?
SAM: Not in here!
INSIDE HOUSE - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Sam reaches a set of sofas arranged around a coffee table. All of them are empty except one on which Danny is sitting. SAM sees him and goes and sits opposite him on another sofa.
SAM: Hey!
DANNY: Hey...
SAM: Happy Birthday!
DANNY: (with a small smile) Thanks.
SAM: (excitement) So... How does it feel to be Eighteen!
DANNY: Exactly the same...
SAM: Right.
Camera cuts to other shots of the party showing it from the perspective of the pair sitting on the sofa. The soundtrack increases in volume and then suddenly drops back down as the camera cuts back to the two of them sitting in awkward silence.
Sam: (sarcastic) Well... This has been riveting.
Sam goes to leave but just as she reaches the edge of the sofa DANNY speaks.
DANNY: Do you know what our life expectancy is?
SAM: What?
DANNY: I said do you know (what our life expectancy is)
Sam turns around as she says this.
SAM: Yeah I heard you the first time I was just wandering what...
DANNY: Anyway. It's eighty one.
SAM:Right...And this has something to do with your eighteenth birthday because? (looking for an answer)
DANNY: Well we're eighteen right?
SAM: Yeah...
DANNY: So do the maths. (pause) That means we've already lived a quarter of our lives
SAM: Shit.
DANNY: Exactly.
SAM: But I'm still confused about what...
DANNY: (Interrupting) I guess I thought that when you turned eighteen you were supposed to become an adult and spend your nights discussing politics and wine. And now we're here and nothing's really change.
SAM: Listen. We are not adults we're kids with valid ID. I mean look at how we spend out nights.
INSIDE HOUSE - THE WIDER PARTY
Camera turns around to show wider party in full swing people acting like idiots at a party. Suddenly a couple run into shot from the party and stop suddenly seeing that the sofa is occupied by SAM and DANNY.
GUY: Hey man! Sorry, didn't realise that the sofa's were occupied. I was just wondering if there was somewhere we could go?
DANNY: Not here.
GUY: OK...Didn't mean to offend
DANNY: Sorry ... Ummm upstairs should be free
GUY: Cheers man.
Couple leave and the door is heard closing. A pause then both SAM and DANNY break into laughter.
Danny: I see your point.
INSIDE HOUSE - THE ARGUMENT
They continue laughing but this quickly fades back into the earlier awkwardness.
SAM: SO... you haven't told anybody.
DANNY: About what.
SAM: Cut the crap! About us you idiot.
DANNY: No... I thought you would have.
SAM: I thought you'd be excited about the prospect.
DANNY: Oh god don't start!
SAM: (fake confusion) Start what?
DANNY: You know what don't start acting like you're hurt by this
SAM: Oh I'm not acting
DANNY: So then why did you bring it up now?
Sam can't answer this question
DANNY: Did you ever think about how this would effect me
SAM: What's that got to do with it
DANNY: Oh I don't know maybe it'd show you've got a bit of heart
SAM: Well maybe I would have if you hadn't gone and fucking broken mine.
DANNY: Oh please you were happy that we broke up
SAM: Really so the last few weeks have just been a dream have they. Just accept it. you broke my heart.
Pause
DANNY: You know what. I don't have to listen to this
Danny storms out and slams the door behind him. The camera shows the party frozen in shock at this exit.
SAM: Oh piss off (slumps back down into her chair)
OUTSIDE - LOOK TO THE FUTURE
DANNY sits on the wall outside the house looking towards the house. SAM exits out of the front door and slowly approaches DANNY.
SAM: Hey...
Danny doesn't respond
SAM: Listen. I wanted to say... I wanted to say I'm sorry. I'm sorry for not talking with you and I'm sorry I said we were ok because we obviously not and I miss you but not as a boyfriend just as a friend.
What I'm trying to say is there's no point of living in the past when the futures got so much in store. I know your scared about it, trust me we all are, everyone back in that party has absolutely no clue what they're going to do so just forget about. Ok?
At some point SAM has sat down next DANNY but there is still distance. At the end of this speech DANNY puts an arm around SAM and they both look out but not at each other
Danny: Ok.
