Filming Process 3

Filming in the tunnel : January 7th / 22nd January 2017

These shots are what make up the ending of the piece. The train creates a very nice counter movement to the movement of the camera in the shot and the tunnel provided effective lighting and shadow which contrasted really well withe how cute the little girl was. The shots of the girl inside the tunnel were eventually cut as they didn't fit with the narrative of the piece and the lighting didnt really match the rest of the scene.

Filming in Shillington Gardens : Saturday 7th January / Sunday 22nd January 2017

These shots show the girls journey to the park and onto the swings and then the flashback that occurs. The weather was very different on both days which created a very effective contrast between the present and the past in the narrative of the piece. Again some of these shots had to be redone because of camera shake.

Filming general daily routine much of these shots were cut in the final edit because of time constraints but they were very useful as they could be pieced together to give cohesive narrative to the opening of the piece. However some scenes required reshooting as there was a noticeable wobble to the camerawork

Ident

Final Ident
This is our final ident, we had several attempts at creating the effect we wanted. This was achieved by spreading acrylic paint across a tile with a flat knife. This did require several attempts because the colours often mixed to easily and blended together turning to a rather ugly brown that was not visually appealing.

Character - Younger Girl

Younger Girl - Flo 

We chose Flo primarily because of her similarity to Imi as they are supposed to be the same person also she is young enough the be very cute and this means that putting her in strange situations is really creepy and so it creates a sense of unease for the audience 

Character - Figure

The Figure 

In order to create a sense of menace in the flashback scenes we included the character of the figure who would be dressed in black to contrast against the pastel colours of flo so it draws the attention of the audience 

Character - Older Girl

Teenage Girl - Imi 

This is our central character we decided that we were going to film her in slightly darker tones when compared with her younger self to show a contrast between the two characters. A key reason for picking her was the fact that she is very similar to Flo (the younger girl) and this meant that the link between the two is obvious to the viewer 

Certification

Certification 

The certification for our film will be a 15 as it will contain threat (the dark figure that seems to be haunting the child) and possibly violence later. There won't be any discrimination or reference to drugs and it is unlikely that there will be any strong language. It is unable to be a 12 or 12A as the horror sequences would have been frequent if we had completed the rest of the piece.
